About Me

During the course of the last 7 years I have slowly been taking more photographs of anything that peaked my interest, albeit with a cellphone. I would often receive compliments on my shots, and had always thought to myself that getting a proper DSLR camera was the way to go… But naturally being a high school student did not allow for such an extravagant purchase, so I made do with my cellphone camera’s and kept trying to get as good a photo as possible.

After receiving a large number of positive comments on one of my recent cellphone photos I decided it was time to take the plunge and go for a DSLR camera. I ended up purchasing the Nikon D5100 and am very happy with it.

I am by no means a professional, merely an amateur trying to compose interesting photos that people will enjoy looking at and talking about, and want to use this blog to share my images with as many people as possible…

Thanks for visiting, I hope there will be a few images that you will enjoy here!

  1. Didn’t realize you are a young adult, Jared. Makes my heart laugh because I worked with young adult students and any time I needed help with technology (of course almost always user error) or wanted to better understand new technology I would turn to them for help. They never let me down. And you take wonderful macro shots. I assume you also like cars? One of my goals for next winter is to photograph key identifying features of the over-the-top luxury sports cars that we see where we spend our winters. Watch for it. 🙂 My husband loves classic cars and I think I’ll be going to a few shows this summer in exchange for all the places he has gone with me to see birds. Taking my camera (with my new lens) will make it tolerable and maybe even fun.

    • I am indeed still a youngster Pat, yet to even cross the quarter century mile marker! 🙂 Thank you for the kind words regarding my macro photography, really love it a lot! Even though I would like to purchase one of the two lenses I told you about, the budget is just not there at this stage. All my macro photos are taken using the reverse lens method, and I plan on dabbling with focus stacking as well very soon.

I do indeed love cars, classic one’s moreso than the modern stuff, and in particular Datsuns. I run a second blog here and it is where I share my passion for the Datsun brand and its cars from yesteryear. It is the biggest passion in my life next to flying and now photography as well. Looking forward to seeing your photos of all the car shows and sports cars!
